At Belle Netball, we believe netball should be as joyful as it is skillful. We’re a local program born from a passion for helping kids grow through movement, play, and teamwork. Our mission is simple: to build confident, resilient, and happy players through expertly delivered netball experiences.
Why we promote a love for playing netball
Belle Netball began with a vision to create a welcoming space for kids to fall in love with sport. What started as a small community initiative has grown into a movement loved by families across the Central Coast.
Developing a love for netball at a young age not only promotes physical health but also provides a foundation for social skills, confidence, discipline, and community involvement.
Netball at its core promotes physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle however, by engaging in netball as a team sport, children naturally build endurance, agility, and hand-eye coordination. Playing on a team requires communication, teamwork, and cooperation, and teaches young players the value of working together to achieve a common goal. being a part of a club or community sport.
These lifelong skills are translatable to later in life. Our aim is that all of our 'ballers will continue to love their netball and being involved with the sport by either playing, coaching or officiating the game.
Key Pillars
Skills
Player skill development is vital to players having an enjoyable experience in the game.
Weekly 30-minute skills session will precede 30-minute matches with a new skills focus each week.
Skills activities are set at an age-appropriate standard and facilitated by our qualified Belle Netball Coaches.
Match Play
Each week, participants will play in 1 x 30-minute match made up of 7 minute quarters.
Belle Netball coaches facilitate matches specifically focusing on the skill of the week with positions rotated by the team manager.
Matches will be umpired by qualified umpires at an age appropriate standard.
Competitions are based on age and abilities with each division carrying a maximum of 6 teams with the maximum of 10 players per team.
The competition is a round-robin with points accumulated to determine a winner and a runner-up.
Coaching
The Belle Netball Mini-League employs passionate and aspirational people to develop them into confident and equipped netball coaches.
We provide personal development opportunities for our coaches through a mentorship program undertaken with the Belle Netball Head Coach. We know coaches excel with a strong, holisitc knowledge of the game, so we also offer our coaches umpiring skills sessions and encourage a transition to the umpiring pathway should this be where their strengths are.
Coaches (and umpires) are connected with their local netball club and/or association and transitioned to winter season volunteering.
Community
Nothing like developing a sense of belonging through your sporting community.
Belle Netball supports local netball communities by:
- Growing the local netball community and transitioning them to local WInter Competitions.
- Assisting in the development of coaches and umpires
- Providing fundraising opportunities for local clubs.
- Opening conversations and networks with local businesses for sponsorship opportunities.
$3 from every registered player will be donated directly to local associations to be utilised in growing the national Net Set Go program.
Family
Friday Night, Family Night! Belle Netball is the new place to be to start your weekend.
We welcome families to spend their Friday Night's with Belle Netball by making our competition affordable and accessible.
Come down to the courts, join in the netball party, catch up with local like-minded friends, feed your tribes and home for the weekend.
Fun
Fun is at the core of what we aim to achieve.
'Ballers are encouraged to take part in new team traditions surrounded by colour and vibrancy.
This is like no league you've been a part of before. Our skills and drills are designed to be enjoyable, our music will get your blood pumping, our trendy uniforms will have heads turning and the friendships you'll walk away with will be lifelong.
Meet Jenna
Jenna is the Founder of Belle Netball and Belle Movement located on the Peninsula on the Central Coast, NSW.
Jenna is passionate about developing a lifelong love for physical activity and is now using her elite sporting background to ensure young girls and boys can love physical activity too.
To Jenna, community is everything - "It goes without saying that I am so passionate about exercise and its benefits to overall health. However what I hope to create with Belle (Movement & Netball), is a place that will bring people together in a space where they feel included, they feel welcome, and they feel motivated to move.
Having grown up in the sporting community, I always felt connected to a special group of like-minded people. There was always a friendly face at the local surf club to help "wash the day away"."
Jenna is an ex-athlete, has worked in elite netball and now gives back to her local club where her two daughters play netball.
